Road Hazard- Police were dispatched to the area of 9th and Ocean for low hanging power lines as a result of the high winds. Police arrived and located the wires and called for JCP&L to respond to take care of the repair. Police coned off the hazard and ensured that it was safe, and the power company responded and fixed the problem.

Alarm- Police responded to a burglar alarm activation in the area of 5th and Ocean. Officers arrived and checked the exterior of the property and did not observe and signs of forced entry. All doors and windows appeared to be secure. Police did locate a subject who was authorized to be at the residence, and it was determined that the alarm was set off in error.

 

 

Carbon Monoxide Alarm- Police and the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company responded to the area of N St. and Central for a carbon monoxide alarm activation. Police arrived and made sure any occupants were outside in the fresh air. The residence was checked by the fire company utilizing their carbon monoxide meters and it was determined that the residence was safe and that the alarm went off in error.

 

 

Suspicious Persons- Police were dispatched to the area of H St. and Bayview for multiple calls of three subjects who were running around naked. Police responded and checked the area and did locate one of the offenders, but he fled on foot and was unable to be located again. The other two subjects were gone on arrival. No further issues were called in or observed.

Arrest- While on patrol Officers initiated a motor vehicle stop in the area of Central and 3rd Ave. for a motor vehicle infraction. After further investigation it was learned that the driver of the vehicle was wanted out of multiple jurisdictions for active arrest warrants. The male subject was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing. He was later released to one of the neighboring agencies that the subject was wanted out of.

First Aid- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad responded to a call for a subject who had fallen and had a complaint of leg pain. The subject was assessed at the scene and transported to Community Medical Center for further treatment.

 

 

Assault- Police were dispatched to the area of M St. and Central Avenue for a report of an alleged assault that had taken place earlier. Police responded and spoke to the caller who stated that she was assaulted by her boyfriend earlier and wanted to document it with police. Officers gathered all the information needed to generate a report. There was no indication that any crime was committed. The caller was advised how to sign complaints if they wished to proceed.

Verbal Dispute- Police responded to the area of M St. and Central Ave. for a verbal dispute between a male and female. Officers arrived and located both individuals involved and spoke to them to investigate what had occurred. After further investigation it was determined that the subjects got into a verbal altercation after drinking some alcoholic beverages. Police were able to mediate the situation and subjects were advised how to sign complaints if they wished to do so.

 

 

Suspicious Vehicle- While on patrol in the area of O St. and Lake Avenue Officers observed a vehicle with a subject loitering inside for an extended period of time. Police made contact with the subject who stated they were just sitting in the car using the telephone. Police advised the subject of the borough loitering ordinance. No further police action required.
