Neighborhood Watch Program

The Neighborhood Watch Group meets regularly in council chambers to discuss local issues and concerns. Neighborhood Watch allows citizens to help in the fight against crime and offers an opportunity for residents to bond with members of the police department through service to the community. The Neighborhood Watch Program draws upon the compassion of average citizens, asking them to lend their neighbors a hand to reduce crime and keep our community safe. Members receive a weekly police blotter and periodic updates and alerts for police activity in the borough.

Project Medicine Drop Box

Project Medicine Drop is an initiative involving installing “prescription drug drop boxes” at participating New Jersey police departments. Project Medicine Drop allows the public to dispose of unused and expired prescription medications safely, securely, and anonymously. The opportunity is available seven days a week, 365 days a year. The public is invited 24/7 to deposit unused or expired medications at the Seaside Park Police Department lobby or designated locations. For more information and the closest dropbox, please visit: www.NJConsumerAffairs.gov/meddrop or visit the DEA’s website.
