First Aid- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad responded to assist a patient who was experiencing respiratory distress. Police and EMS arrived and began to assess the patient at the scene. They were later transported to Community Medical Center for further treatment.

 

 

Property Damage- Police were dispatched to the area of K St. and Central for a report of damage to a vehicle’s window. Officers responded and spoke to the caller who stated the passenger side window of their vehicle was shattered when they got into their car. The owner stated no items were missing at this time. The area was checked for any surveillance cameras that could have captured the incident. No signs of any implement that was potentially used was visible. This could have been storm related damage, but this matter is still under investigation.

Wires Down- Police responded to the area of 13th and Central for a report of wires down obstructing traffic on Central Avenue. Officers arrived and observed a cable wire down which stretched across all lanes of travel and was obstructing traffic. Polce cut the wire and removed it from the roadway to allow traffic to pass. The cable company was contacted to respond to repair their wire. No further police action required.

 

 

Suspicious Vehicle- While on patrol in the area of  5th and Ocean Officers observed a male loitering in his vehicle for an extended period of time. Police made contact with the subject to see if everything was ok and to make sure he didn’t need any police assistance. The subject was fine and did not need any help. The male was advised of local ordinances and vacated the area. No further police action required.

Hit and Run- Police were dispatched to the area of M St. and Central to take a report of a hit and run accident. Officers spoke to the caller who stated that while they were traveling on the Causeway inbound, they were rear ended in the area of Farragut and N. Bayview by a black vehicle. Police gathered all the information needed to generate a report and checked the area for the suspect vehicle. No car matching the description given was located. The area was also searched for any cameras that could have captured the incident and none were located.

 

 

 

Fraud- Police responded to police headquarters to take a report of fraudulent activity on the complainant’s credit card. Officers spoke to the individual and gathered all the information needed to generate a report. The victim stated there were multiple charges for large purchases on their credit card and provided police with the details. The victim was advised a report would be generated and to follow up with their credit card company’s fraud department.

Property Damage- Police responded to the area of L St. and Ocean for a caller who reported observed a broken window at the motel. Officers arrived and checked the building and located the broken window and did not find any other damage to the property. There was also no forced entry into the room. A report was generated, and it was determined to be damage from the storm and high winds. The owner was contacted by the police.

Well Being Check- Police were dispatched to the area of I St. and Ocean for a well being check at a residence. The caller stated they had not heard from their family member in several days and asked us to check on her. Officers arrived and checked the residence and were able to make contact with her. After speaking to her it was determined that she was fine and did not need any help. The caller was advised of our findings.
