Seaside Park Announces Rave Alert to Keep Community Informed During Emergency Situations
Public Safety Officials Encourage Residents to Sign Up For Local Emergency Notifications To Be Better Prepared for an Emergency
Borough of Seaside Park, NJ, September 18, 2023 – Public safety officials in Seaside Park today announced that the Rave Emergency Alert System is now available to all residents, replacing the previous Swiftreach Reverse 911 system. Rave Emergency Alert System is a free service that allows individuals to receive notifications sent from state and local authorities to stay informed on potentially hazardous situations involving weather, traffic, and other emergencies.
The switch to the Rave Emergency Alert System allows residents to receive phone, text, and email alerts and answer poll questions that will give Seaside Park officials critical information during emergencies. Individuals who are signed up for alerts will receive reliable information about them during critical situations, including tailored updates based on their specific needs and geographic location.
Individuals who were previously signed up for Swiftreach Reverse 911 will be automatically enrolled in the Rave Emergency Alert System but are encouraged to sign up to the Rave Emergency Alert System to add additional and updated information to the new platform to ensure accuracy. Residents and travelers to Seaside Park who were not previously signed up for Swiftreach Reverse 911 should sign up for free at www.seasideparkpd.com to receive timely and actionable emergency alerts via email, text, or voice message. They can also identify when and how they are alerted and communicated with before, during, and after emergencies.
Rave Emergency Alert System strengthens Seaside Park officials’ ability to communicate with residents when it matters most. The service allows for critical communication with the public and provides individuals with the information needed to stay safe or take precautions during hazardous or emergency situations.
Rave Emergency Alert System is trusted by thousands of institutions, including state and local authorities, businesses, and educational institutions. The Rave Emergency Alert System sends millions of messages daily during critical situations such as severe weather.
Community members are encouraged to sign up for the Rave Emergency Alert System and input or update their information and notification preferences today at www.seasideparkpd.com.

About Seaside Park Police
From the time of Seaside Park’s incorporation in 1898, marshals were employed to maintain law and order during the summer months originally policing the town on foot, and later motorcycles or cars. Appointments were made on an annual basis. With the increase of year-round residents, the position became full-time. The police department was established in the early 1920’s.
