Car Burglaries- Police had been dispatched to multiple car burglaries over the past few weeks and have taken numerous reports of a male subject entering unlocked vehicles in the area and taking various items. Please remember to lock your vehicle and take any valuables out! This matter is still under investigation.

 

 

Alarm- Police were dispatched to a burglar alarm activation in the area of Island Ave. and Ocean. Officers arrived and checked the exterior of the residence and did not observe any signs of forced entry. All doors and windows were found to be secure. It was determined that the alarm was set off in error.

Overdose- Police were dispatched to the area of L St. and Ocean for a male who was overdosing on narcotics. Officers arrived to find an unconscious male. Police administered Narcan to the subject who began to come around and regain consciousness. The subject was assessed by Tri-Boro First Aid Squad but refused any medical attention. Heroin and hypodermic needles were removed from the residence to be disposed of safely.

First Aid- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad responded to help an intoxicated subject who was not feeling well. Police and EMS arrived at the scene and began to assess the patient. The subject was transported to Community Medical Center for further treatment.

Gas Leak- Police and the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company were dispatched to the area of Decatur and Ocean for a possible gas leak at a residence. Police arrived and spoke to the caller who believed they smelled a natural gas leak. The fire department arrived and utilized their equipment and determined there was a small gas leak. New Jersey Natural Gas was dispatched to fix the problem.

 

 

 

Community Policing- While on patrol in the area of C St. and Central Officers observed an open garage door with no one around at the residence at the time. Police checked the residence, and it did not appear that anything was disturbed. The home was otherwise secure, and police secured the garage door. They attempted to make contact with a homeowner but were unsuccessful.

Arrest- The Detective Bureau along with patrol as well as assistance from Seaside Heights Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence on the ocean block of L St.as a part of our investigation of the recent influx of car burglaries in the area. The main suspect of interest was not present, but one male and one female subject were placed under arrest for active arrest warrants as well as possession of narcotics. Both subjects were lodged in the Ocean County Jail. This matter is still under investigation.

Arrest- While conducting an investigation regarding property damage to a fence in the area of 12th and Ocean it was determined that a tire had come loose from a trailer and damaged the caller’s fence. Officers located the offender nearby and observed evidence of a newly replaced trailer tire. Police spoke to the male driver who was driving with a suspended license as well as having an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of another jurisdiction. The subject was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing.
