Verbal Dispute- Police were dispatched to the area of K St. and Central for a verbal dispute between neighbors. Officers arrived and spoke to the caller who stated her neighbor was shouting and cursing at her while she was outside fixing her mailbox. Upon arrival the altercation was already dispersed. Police spoke to the individuals involved and the caller was advised how to sign charges if she wished to do so.

 

 

First Aid- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad were dispatched to a patient who was experiencing general weakness and nausea. Officers and EMS arrived and began to assess the patient at the scene. They were later transported to Community Medical Center for further treatment.

Dispute- Police responded to the area of N St. and Ocean for a caller who wanted to report that he made a deal with a contractor, paid for the work, but the job was never completed. Police gathered all the information needed to generate a report. The victim only had a verbal contract with the contractor. Officers explained how to sign charges if he wished to do so.

 

 

Alarm- Police responded to the area of O St. and Ocean Avenue for a fire alarm activation. Officers arrived and observed an audible smoke alarm going off. Officers at the scene were able to locate the alarm and it was determined that the detector was faulty.  Officers were able to disable the alarm and the owners of the property were advised of our findings.

Disabled Vehicles- There were two disabled vehicles that were in the roadway in town that were disabled due to the flooding from the storm. The Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to check out both vehicles to ensure no people were inside that needed help. Both vehicles were unoccupied and were left until the flood waters receded.

Harassment- Police responded to headquarters to take a report from a complainant that stated they were being harassed. Officers spoke to the caller and gathered all the information needed to generate a report. The caller stated they were being followed and verbally harassed by a male in a pickup truck. The caller was able to provide a description as well as the vehicle’s license plate number. The caller was advised of complaint procedures if they wished to press charges as well as to advise police if any further incidents occurred.

Arrest- While on patrol Officers had initiated a motor vehicle stop in the area of Brighton and Central for an observed traffic violation. After further investigation and speaking with the subject it was believed that he was possibly driving under the influence. Police conducted field sobriety tests and it was determined that the driver was impaired. He was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters where he was processed and charged for his offenses.

Police responded to the area of Stockton and Central for a report of a disturbance between two women. Officers arrived and located the subjects and separated both individuals. Officers spoke to the individuals and got both sides of the story. It was determined that it was just a verbal argument. Police were able to mediate the situation and the females were separated for the remainder of the night.
