First Aid- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad were dispatched to a residence to check on a fall victim in their residence. Officers and EMS arrived and assessed the patient and assisted them in getting back on their feet. The subject did not want any further medical treatment.

Community Policing- Police were dispatched to the area of C St. and Ocean Avenue for a good Samaritan turning in a found wallet. They asked the Officers to assist them in returning the wallet to its rightful owner in our jurisdiction. Police were able to make contact with the owner and return the property to them.

 

 

 

Fire Alarm Activation- Police and the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company responded to the area of Farragut and the Boulevard for a fire alarm activation. Officers and the fire department arrived at the scene. No smoke or fire was observed. The structure was checked, and it was determined that the alarm was set off in error.

Animal- Police were called to the area of M St. and Central Ave. for a report of a loose dog in the area. Officers arrived and located the caller as well as the dog. Officers assisted in locating the dog’s owner and reuniting them.

 

 

 

Carbon Monoxide Alarm- Police and the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company responded to the area of Farragut and Lake Ave. for a report of a carbon monoxide alarm activation. Officers arrived and made sure that any occupants were out in the fresh air. The fire department arrived and checked the residence with their equipment to make sure the residence was safe, and no traces of carbon monoxide were detected. The fire department determined that the alarm was faulty and needed to be replaced.

Trespassing- A walk in at Police Headquarters reported to Officers that they had observed on their security cameras that a male and female had been walking around their property without permission and appeared to get startled and left when they took notice of the security cameras. The incident occurred in the area of Decatur and Ocean Ave. The footage was forwarded to this agency to generate a report. No damage or missing belongings were reported by the caller at this time.

Harassment- Police were dispatched to the area of K Ct and K St. for a report of odd phone calls in the middle of the night from a blocked phone number. Officers arrived and spoke to the callers about the incident. Police gathered all the information needed to generate a report. No threats were made but the callers felt uneasy and wanted to report the incident. It was believed to have been a prank call from someone the complainant had an altercation with the day before. No further police action required.

 

 

Brush Fire- Police and the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company responded to the area of Island Avenue and Bayview for a report of a brush fire on the bayfront. Officers arrived and observed smoke and flames from the tall grass along the bayfront. The fire covered approximately twenty feet and was extinguished without incident by the fire department. A spent firework was located and was deemed the cause of the fire.
