First Aid- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad were dispatched to a female patient who was going into labor. Officers arrived and gathered the pertinent information and began to prepare for a possible home birth. First aid arrived and began their assessment. Shortly thereafter it was determined the baby was not waiting to get to the hospital and a baby boy was born here in town! Mom dad and baby went to the hospital to get checked out and are doing well!
Well Being Check- Police were dispatched to the area of H St. for a well being check. The caller stated they had not heard from their friend in multiple days and asked us to check up on them. Police arrived and were able to make contact with the subject and spoke to them. It was determined that they were fine. The caller was notified of our findings.

Fire Alarm- Police and the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company responded to a fire alarm activation in the area of 10th and Barnegat. Police and fire arrived and began to check the residence. The odor of smoke was observed, and the fire department located a surge protector that was submerged in water due to the flooding. It was safely removed, and power was able to be restored to the residence after it was deemed safe.
Community Policing- Police were dispatched to the area of Lafayette Avenue for a subject who was locked out of their residence. Officers arrived and assessed the situation. Officers successfully gained entry into the residence and were able to assist the caller.
First Aid- Police were dispatched to a patient experiencing chest pain. Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad arrived and began to assess the patient at the scene. The subject was transported to Community Medical Center for further treatment.

Alarm- Police responded to a burglar alarm activation in the area of E St. and Central. Officers arrived and checked the perimeter and did not observe any signs of forced entry. Police did locate a subject on the property, and it was determined they were authorized to be there, and the alarm was set off in error.

Civil Dispute- Police were dispatched to the area of M St. and Central Ave. for a caller reporting a nearby contractor using water and electricity without permission from another residence. Police arrived and spoke to both parties and gathered all the information needed to generate a report. The contractor was advised to stop utilizing utilities that were not theirs and the caller was advised how to sign complaints if they wished to do so.

Suspicious Person- Police were called to the area of Decatur and Ocean Avenue for an adolescent that was allegedly running into the street causing alarm for motorists. Police arrived and located the involved parties and were able to speak to a parent and advised them of the situation and the dangers of such actions. Further action turned over to the parent. No further police action required.
