First Aid- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad responded to take care of a victim experiencing trouble breathing. Officers and EMS arrived and began to assess the patient at the scene. They were later transported to Community Medical Center.

 

 

Arrest- Police were dealing with a subject at police headquarters and it was determined that the male subject had an active arrest warrant out of another jurisdiction. The male was placed under arrest and processed. He was later picked up and turned over to the jurisdiction he was wanted out of.

 

 

Suspicious Person- Police responded to the area of Farragut and Boulevard to take a report about subjects walking down the street trying door handles attempting to get into unlocked vehicles. Officers gathered all the information needed to generate a report and the caller provided videos of the actors attempting to gain entry into vehicles. No damage was done, and no items have been reported stolen at this time but please be aware and ensure your vehicles are secure.

Fire Alarm- Police and the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company responded to the area of Stockton and Ocean Avenue for a fire alarm activation. Officers arrived and checked the perimeter and did not see any active fire or smoke, but the audible alarm was sounding. The Fire Department arrived and checked the building with their heat sensing equipment and ensured the building was safe. It was determined that the alarm was set off in error.

 

 

Community Policing- While on patrol in the area of 14th and Bayview Officers observed a male who appeared to be intoxicated and unsteady on his feet. Officers spoke to the male and made sure he didn’t need any first aid and gave him a safe ride home.

Swimmer in Distress- Police were dispatched to the area of Stockton Avenue Beach for an 81-year-old male who was swimming approximately 200 yards off shore and was not able to get back to the beach. A good Samaritan on a boogie boarder helped the swimming and held him on his board until the Seaside Heights Water Rescue Squad arrived with a jet ski and brought the man to the beach where EMS and paramedics began to take care of the victim and he was later transported to Community Medical Center.

 

 

Disturbance- Police responded to the area of F St. and Central for a report of a female who was allegedly screaming in the street. Police were able to locate the female at her residence and spoke to her and make sure everything was ok. The Officers determined that everything was fine and it was just a misunderstanding. No further police action required.

Threats- Police were dispatched to the area of G St. and Central for a caller reporting receiving threatening phone calls from a former girlfriend. Officers arrived and spoke to the caller and gathered all the information needed to generate a report. Police advised the victim of complaint procedures if he wished to move forward with any charges. He was advised to ignore any future phone calls from her.
