First Aid- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad responded to assist a patient who was experiencing respiratory distress. Officers and EMS arrived and assessed the patient at the scene. They were later transported to Community Medical Center for treatment.

 

 

Community Policing- Police were dispatched to assist a motorist who needed help. Their vehicle’s battery died, and their car was disabled at 5th Ave. and Central. Officers responded and were able to get her vehicle jump started and back on her way.

 

 

Arrest- While on patrol in the area of L St. and Central Officers stopped a vehicle for traffic violations. After further investigation and speaking with the female driver police observed the odor of alcoholic beverages emanating from her. Field sobriety tests were conducted, and it was determined that she was impaired. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters where she was charged with driving while intoxicated as well as other traffic violations.

Medevac- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad responded to assist a patient who had fallen in their home and sustained a possible head and neck injury. Police and the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company secured the landing zone at J St. and Central. The patient was air lifted to Jersey Shore Hospital for treatment.

Fire Alarm- Police and the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company responded to the area of M St. and Lake Ave. for a fire alarm activation. Police and the fire department arrived and checked the residence. No smoke or active fire was observed. The fire company checked the interior of the residence with their heat sensing equipment to make sure the residence was safe. It was determined the alarm was set off in error.

 

 

Officer Request- Police were dispatched to the area of 4tth and Central for a caller who thought they heard something on the second floor of their residence and wanted police to check the house. Officers arrived and spoke to the caller and checked the residence for them. No intruders were located and nothing suspicious was observed.

 

 

Keep the Peace- Police responded to the ocean block of N St. to keep the peach during an eviction. Officers arrived and stood by while the tenants left with their belongings and the owners had the locks changed. Police were able to mediate the situation without incident. No further police action required.

Theft- Police were dispatched to ocean block of N St. for a caller who reported that he believes his girlfriend stole money from his residence. Officers arrived and spoke to the caller and gathered all the information needed to generate a report. Officers went to speak to the female to get her statement but were not able to make contact with her. The male was advised how to sign charges if he wished to do so. This matter is still under investigation.
