Motor Vehicle Violation- While on patrol in the area of 2nd and Central Avenues Officers observed a vehicle traveling on the wrong side of the road on Central Avenue against the flow of traffic and initiated a motor vehicle stop. After further investigation it was learned that the driver had a suspended driver’s license. The driver was issued motor vehicle summonses for the violations and the vehicle was parked and the driver was picked up by a friend.

 

 

Criminal Mischief- Police were called to the Seaside Park Marina at J St. and Central where the caller reported that multiple vehicles drove through the marina carelessly causing ruts in the rocks. After further investigation and reviewing camera footage three vehicles drove into the marina and did “donuts” creating ruts in the rocks. This matter is still under investigation.

 

 

Well Being Check- Police were dispatched to the area of N St. and Lake Avenue to conduct a well being check on a neighbor whose vehicle had been running for several hours and the owner was not seen for a while. Officers arrived and located the running vehicle and did not notice anything unusual. Police were able to make contact with the resident who owned the vehicle who was fine and stated that he must have left the vehicle running in error. No further police action required.

First Aid- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad responded to help a patient who had passed out and lost consciousness. Officers and EMS arrived and began to assess the patient who was now alert and conscious. They were later transported to Community Medical Center for further medical treatment.

 

 

Parking Problem- Police were dispatched to the area of Farragut and the Boulevard for a caller who reported a vehicle that entered the street against traffic and parked in a designated handicap spot without the proper placard for that space. Officers arrived and located the vehicle. The vehicle was issued two parking summonses for both infractions and the homeowner was advised of towing procedures if they wished to have the vehicle removed. No further police action required.

 

 

Community Policing- While on Patrol in the area of Municipal Parking Lot 3 Officers were flagged down by a motorist who had their keys locked in their vehicle. Officers were able to help them gain entry into their vehicle by utilizing our lockout tools and get them back on their way.

Alarm- Police responded to the area of C St. and Central Avenue for a burglar alarm activation. Officers arrived and checked the perimeter of the residence and did not observe any signs of forced entry. All doors and windows were found to be secure, and it was determined the alarm was set off in error.

Dispute- Police were dispatched to the area of Stockton and Central for a landlord tenant dispute. Officers arrived and spoke to the caller who explained to police that she wanted to file a report against their landlord regarding work that needed to be done at the property and needed help with documenting it. Police spoke to the complainant and gathered the information needed to generate a report. Police advised her how to proceed with complaints if she wished to move forward.

Disturbance- Police responded to the area of Decatur and Ocean Avenue for a report of a disturbance between the manager and a guest. Officers arrived and spoke to the individuals involved and gathered all the information needed to generate a report. The manager stated this guest was no longer welcome and police stood by while the patron gathered their belongings and left the premises. No further police action required.
