Community Policing- While on patrol in the area of Stockton and Ocean Officers observed a vehicle with its trunk open. Police stopped and investigated the vehicle and did not observe any signs of forced entry, and nothing appeared to be disturbed or rifled through. Police were able to locate the owner so they could check and secure their vehicle.

Criminal Mischief- Police responded to the area of K St. and Central Ave. for a report of damage to a screen door. Officers arrived and spoke to the caller who stated when they returned to their residence here, they noticed that someone had kicked their screen door multiple times attempting to gain entry to the residence. Police gathered all the information needed to generate a report and took photographs of the damage. The resident had not been here in several weeks so there was no accurate timeline when this occurred.
Disturbance- Police were dispatched to the area of Decatur and Ocean for a report of a disturbance. Officers arrived and located the subjects involved who were causing a disturbance where they were staying and annoying other guests. The subjects were acting in a disorderly manner and were asked to leave the premises by management. Officers spoke to all parties and advised them of the situation and that they had to pack up their belongings and vacate the property. Officers stood by while they left without incident.

Borough Ordinance- While on Patrol in the area of Brighton and Ocean Officers observed an occupied vehicle loitering for an extended period of time. Police made contact with the subjects inside and observed the male subject with an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. The subject was advised of the violation and was issued a borough summons for the infraction.
Alarm- Police were dispatched to the area of Farragut and Central for a burglar alarm activation. Officers arrived and checked the perimeter of the residence and did not observe any signs for forced entry. All doors and windows were found to be secure, and it was determined that the alarm was set off in error.

Assault- Police were flagged down in the aera of M St. and Central Avenue. The victim stated that his girlfriend was drunk and bit him leaving a bruise on his arm. The victim was offered first aid, and police gathered the information needed to generate a report. The female defendant had fled prior to police arrival. The victim’s residence and the area was checked and the subject was nowhere to be found. A warrant was issued for her for simple assault. The subject is still at large.

Criminal Mischief- Police were dispatched to take a report of criminal mischief in the area of O St. and Lake Ave. at the playground. Officers arrived and spoke to the caller who advised police that they observed damage to the playground dedication sign of the person’s face being scratched out, as well as some graffiti on different pieces of the equipment. Police took photographs and gathered all the information needed to generate a report. The area was canvassed and no cameras nearby were able to capture the vandals.
