Disturbance- Police responded to the area of Porter and Boulevard for a disturbance between two groups of juveniles. One group was playing and shooting toy guns that expel soft round projectiles. Officers at the scene were advised that another group interjected and took their toy guns after a verbal altercation and ran south into Seaside Park. Officers spoke to both groups as well as parents to mediate the situation. Parties were separated and went their separate ways. All involved were advised of complaint procedures if they wished to sign charges. 

 

 

3/30 

Alarm- Police were dispatched to the area of 12th and Ocean for a burglar alarm activation. Officers arrived and did not observe and signs of forced entry after checking the property. A subject was located in the residence. After further investigation it was determined that the subject was authorized to be there, and the alarm was set off in error.  

 

 

First Aid- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad responded to assist a patient who was experiencing trouble breathing. Officers and EMS arrived and assessed the patient at the scene. They were later transported to Community Medical Center for treatment.

Well Being Check- Police were dispatched to the area of O Street and Lake Avenue to check on a male whose family could not contact him for an extended period of time. Officers arrived and were able to make contact with the male who appeared fine and did not require any police assistance. The caller was advised of our findings.  

 

 

 

 

 

4/2 

Fire Alarm- Police and the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company responded to the area of 2nd and Bayview for a fire alarm activation. Officers and the fire department arrived, and no smoke or active fire was observed. After further investigation it was determined that the alarm was set off in error.

Carbon Monoxide Alarm- Police and the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company responded to the area of 6th and Bayview for a carbon monoxide alarm activation. Officers arrived and made sure any occupants were out in fresh air. The fire department arrived and checked the interior of the residence with their equipment and determined the house was safe with no carbon monoxide present.  

 

 

Community Policing- Police were dispatched to the area of Porter and Central Avenues for a subject who fell in their home and needed assistance. Officers arrived and helped the victim back up and made sure they were alright. They declined any further medical treatment.  

 

 

Landlord Tenant- Police responded to the area of Farragut and Ocean Avenue for a landlord tenant dispute. Officers arrived and spoke to the caller who stated they had a new tenant that should not be at the residence yet, and that their initial payment was declined by the bank. Police separated both parties and got both sides of the story. Police were able to mediate a solution agreeable by both parties. All individuals were advised of their rights and how to proceed if they wished to do so.
