First Aid- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad responded to a residence where a victim had fallen inside the home and requested assistance. Police and EMS arrived and began to assess the patient at the scene. They were later transported to Community Medical Center by Tri-Boro for further treatment.

Well Being Check- Police were dispatched to the area of Stockton and Ocean to check on a female that was allegedly intoxicated and in distress. Officers arrived and located the subject described by the caller. The subject was with a friend and neither required first aid or police assistance. They were waiting for their ride home and were fine. No further police action required.

Impound- While on patrol in the area of Porter and Ocean Avenues Officers observed a vehicle operating without their lights on as well as not stopping at the stop sign. Police initiated a motor vehicle stop and made contact with the driver and advised him of the infractions. After further investigation it was determined that the driver was not licensed to operate a motor vehicle, and the vehicle did not have insurance. The vehicle was impounded, and the driver was issued multiple motor vehicle summonses for the violations.

 

 

 

Harassment- Police were dispatched to take a report of harassment in the area of Stockton and Ocean Avenue. Officers spoke to the victim who stated she was getting harassing messages from a former boyfriend. Officers gathered all the information needed to generate a report. The Victim was advised how to proceed with any charges if she wished to do so.

 

 

Suspicious Boat- Police were dispatched to a possible boater in distress in the area of 13th and Bayview Avenue. Officers arrived and located an aluminum row boat that was turned over. Police investigated the area and it appeared there were no equipment or occupants in the vessel. The area was checked and the US Coast Guard was advised of our findings. It was determined the boat had come loose and drifted here.

Alarm- Police were dispatched to the area of 2nd and Central Avenues for a burglar alarm activation. Officers arrived and checked the perimeter and did not locate any signs of forced entry. All doors and windows were found to be secure. It was determined that the alarm was set off in error.

Theft- Police responded to the area of 4th and Ocean Avenue for a report of a package theft. Officers responded and spoke to the caller who advised police that moments after a package was delivered on their steps a male walked up and took the package. Police were shown the video footage from the caller’s camera system and it appears the suspect is a late 30s white male. Officers gathered all the information needed to generate a report and the area was checked for any other cameras that may have captured the incident.
