Beach Hazard- Police were dispatched to the area of Lafayette Beach for a report of two subjects digging a large hole in the sand. Officers responded and located the individuals who were in a large waist deep hole in the sand. Officers advised the subjects of the dangers associated with digging holes like that on the beach. Police stood by until the hole was safely filled in.

 

 

Verbal dispute- Police responded to the area of Farragut and the Boulevard for a report of a verbal dispute between multiple adults in the middle of the street. Police arrived and located multiple subjects outside involved in a verbal altercation. Police separated the individuals involved and investigated the situation. Police were able to mediate the situation and advised all parties involved how to sign complaints if they wanted to proceed with anything further.

 

 

Borough Ordinance Violation- While on patrol in the area of Lafayette and the Boardwalk Officers observed a male urinating in public. They made contact with the subject and advised him of the violation, and he was issued a borough summons for the infraction.

Alarm- Police responded to 2nd and Central for a burglar alarm activation. Officers arrived and checked the perimeter and did not observe any signs of forced entry. All doors and windows were found to be secure, and it was determined to have been set off in error.

 

 

First Aid- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad responded to assist a patient who was experiencing abdominal pain. The subject was assessed at the scene and transported to Community Medical Center by EMS.

 

 

Scam- Police responded to the area of N St. and Ocean Avenue for a reported extortion scam. Police spoke to the victim who stated he met a female on a dating app who later threatened to expose a sexually explicit video that was consensually made by both parties online. The female subject told the victim she would expose the video to his friends on him social media accounts unless he sent her money online. The victim sent money and the female demanded more or she would still expose him. The victim terminated all contact, then reported the account to the apps administrator and called the police to report this incident. This matter is still under investigation.

 

 

Arrest- While on patrol in the area of G and Central the license plate reader got a hit on a vehicle advising the Officer that the driver had a suspended drivers license. Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop and after further investigation Officers learned that the driver had three active arrest warrants out of multiple jurisdictions. The male subject was placed under arrest and processed at police headquarters.

Borough Ordinance Violation- While on patrol in the area of Lafayette and the Boardwalk Officers observed two males urinating in public. Police made contact with       the subjects and advised them of the violation and issued them both a borough summons for the infraction.

 

 

Arrest- While conducting a motor vehicle stop in the area of O St. and Ocean Avenue Officers suspected the driver of driving while intoxicated. After further investigation it was determined that the male driver had been driving under the influence of alcohol and also had an outstanding arrest warrant out of another jurisdiction. The subject was placed under arrest and processed at police headquarters. The subject was charged with driving while intoxicated along with other motor vehicle violations.

 

 

Arrest- Police were dispatched to 1st and Central for a disorderly hotel guest who was intoxicated and causing a disturbance. The female guest was no longer welcome, and she was asked to leave by management and police at the scene. There female refused and began screaming and causing a disturbance. The subject was placed under arrest and processed at police headquarters where she was charged with disorderly conduct and trespassing.

Disturbance- Police were dispatched to the area of Decatur and Ocean to assist management with an unruly hotel guest. Police arrived and spoke to management who advised two guests were continuously disturbing others and wanted them to leave the premises. Police made contact with the guests and advised them management wanted them to leave and Officers stood by to keep the peace while they vacated the property.

Fire- Police and the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company responded to the area of G St. and Ocean for a dumpster fire at a construction site. Police arrived and the fire was being extinguished by workers at the scene until the fire company arrived and used their equipment to saturate the materials on fire and ensure it was completely out.
