First Aid- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad were dispatched to evaluate an individual experiencing abdominal pain. Officers and EMS arrived and assessed the patient at the scene. They were later transported to Community Medical Center for further treatment.

Borough Ordinance Violation- While on patrol in the area of Brighton and Ocean Avenues Officers observed a vehicle with two male occupants sleeping inside. Police made contact with the individuals and advised them of the ordinance. While speaking with the individuals open containers of alcohol were observed. The open containers were discarded and both subjects were issued a borough summons for sleeping in a motor vehicle.

 

 

Suspicious Persons- Police were flagged down in the area of K St. and Ocean regarding camera footage the homeowner had noticed overnight. The homeowner advised police that two individuals were at their front door knocking and trying to enter the residence. No entry was made, and the homeowner assumed they were just at the wrong residence but wanted to make police aware to keep an eye out in the area.

Verbal Dispute- Police were dispatched to the area of Stockton Avenue and the Boardwalk for a male and female arguing. Officers arrived and located the subjects on the beach ramp. The parties were separated, and Officers got both sides of the story. It was determined just to have been a verbal dispute and the individuals went their separate ways.

 

 

 

 

Alarm- Police responded to the area of I St. and Ocean Ave. for a burglar alarm activation. Officers arrived and checked the residence and did not observe any signs of forced entry. There was an individual on the property who was authorized to be there and advised police the alarm was set off in error.

Community Policing- While on patrol in the area of D St. and Ocean Avenue Officers observed an unattended vehicle with one of its doors ajar. Officers checked the vehicle out and did not observe any signs of forced entry and nothing appeared to be disturbed inside. Officers were not able to locate the owner. The vehicle was secured.

 

 

Fire Alarm- Police and the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company were dispatched to the area of I St. and Ocean Ave. smoke or carbon monoxide alarms sounding throughout the house. Upon arrival the occupants were all outside in the fresh air. Officers and the fire department checked the residence, and the fire company stated the house was safe and it was caused by a faulty detector.

Accident- Police responded to the area of Porter Ave. and the Boulevard for a motor vehicle accident involving a minivan and a golf cart. The minivan did not stop at the stop sign at Porter Ave., striking the golf cart heading south on the Boulevard. The occupants of the golf cart were not wearing seatbelts and were ejected from the vehicle. Both subjects were transported to Community Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the mini van was issued a summons for careless driving. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Criminal Mischief- Police were dispatched to the area of 13th and Ocean Ave. for a caller who reported the rear window on their vehicle was broken overnight. Officers responded and spoke to the caller and gathered information to generate a report. Officers checked the area to see if any cameras could have captured the incident. This matter is under investigation.
