Arrest- While on patrol Officers did a property check at O St. and Ocean Avenue at the former Desert Palm Inn. While checking the property a male who was not authorized to be there was located on the premises. The male was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing. The male was charged with trespassing and released.

 

 

Community Policing- While on patrol Officers were flagged down by a male who was experiencing car trouble. Officers were able to give him a safe ride home and made sure his vehicle was parked legally so he could make arrangements to pick it up later.

First Aid- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad responded to help a patient who was experiencing general weakness. Officers and EMS arrived and assessed the victim at the scene. The patient was later transported to Community Medical Center for further treatment.

 

 

Harassment- A male subject came to police headquarters to make a report after receiving harassing messages through social media from a male acquaintance. Police gathered all the information needed to generate a report and the complainant provided screen shots of the messages for the report. The male provided his side of the story and was advised of complaint procedures if he wished to sign charges.

First Aid- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad responded to the area of 7th Ave. and Bayview for a male bicyclist who sustained a head injury after colliding with another bicyclist. First aid was rendered at the scene and the injured male was flown by helicopter to Jersey Shore Medical Center to care for his traumatic injury.

 

Suspicious Person- Police responded to the area of 2nd and Bayview for a report of a female who entered the caller’s residence without authorization. The caller stated that a female entered her home through the unlocked door, and when she asked what they were doing in her home the subject stated they thought it was a store. The homeowner asked the female to leave, and the subject left in a tan older model sedan. The caller then called the police. Officers checked the area and could not locate the vehicle. The area was checked for any cameras that could have captured the incident. Nothing was taken from the residence and the homeowner was advised to call the police if the subject returned.

Alarm- Police were dispatched to the area of Farragut and the boardwalk for a burglar alarm activation. Officers arrived and checked the perimeter and found no signs of forced entry. Police did locate someone at the business, but it was determined they were authorized to be there, and the alarm was set off in error.

 

 

Alarm- Police and the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company responded to a residence in the area of Lafayette and Central for a fire alarm activation. Police and the fire company responded, and no active smoke or fire was observed. The fire company utilized their heat sensing equipment to make sure the residence was safe. It was determined that the alarm was caused by a faulty smoke detector.

Borough Ordinance- While on patrol in the area of Stockton and Boardwalk Officers observed a male subject drinking and open container of alcohol in public. Officers spoke to the subject and advised him of the infraction. He was issued a borough summons for the violation.

Community Policing- While on patrol in the area of Lafayette and Ocean Officers were flagged down by a female who was locked out of her vehicle. Officers were able to utilize a lockout kit and were able to make entry into the vehicle for the owner to get home.
