Alarm- Police were dispatched to the area of N St. and Central for a burglar alarm activation. Officers arrived and checked the perimeter of the house and did not see any footprints in the snow or any signs of forced entry. The residence was deemed secure and it was determined the alarm was set off in error.

 

 

Open Door- While on patrol in the area of O St. and the Bay Officers observed an open garage door to a residence that was under construction. Officers began to check the exterior and interior for any signs of forced entry or unauthorized individuals. Police checked the entirety of the location with no signs of any wrongdoing. They did locate an upstairs balcony door open and secured all upon exiting.

Verbal Dispute- Police responded to the area of M St. and Central for a verbal argument occurring at the 7-11. Police arrived and located the male and female involved in the verbal argument and separated both parties. Officers were able to mediate the situation and advised both parties how to sign complaints if they wished to do so. No further police action required.

Community Policing- Police responded to the area of O St. and Ocean Avenue for a subject who was locked out of their residence and needed assistance. Officers arrived and were able to assist the resident in gaining entry into their front door.

Criminal Mischief- Police responded to the area of M St. and Berkeley Ln. to take a report of criminal mischief. Officers arrived and spoke to the caller who showed Officers that their sideview mirror on their car had been forcibly pushed back breaking the plastic housing that holds the mirror. This had also happened to other vehicles on the street, but they did not sustain any damage. All the information needed to generate a report was gathered. Photos were taken and the area was canvassed for any cameras they may have caught the incident. This matter is still under investigation.

 

 

Keep the Peace- Police were requested to keep the peace for an eviction at O St. and Ocean Avenue. Officers arrived and stood by while the tenants removed all belongings and vacated the premises. No altercations occurred and the event went smoothly. No further police action required.

 

 

Road Rage- Police were called to the area of I St. and Central for a road rage incident. Officers arrived and spoke to the female victim who stated while she was travelling north on Bayview Avenue a small silver SUV was antagonizing her and drove around her almost running her off the road. The male driver then pulled in front of the victim and slammed on his brakes multiple times to further taunt and attempt to make the victim crash. The subject stopped and got out of his vehicle was shouting at the victim’s driver side window. The male spit on her window and shouted at her before driving off. The victim was able to get his license plate information and turned it over to the responding Officers. No injuries, or property damage was sustained. The victim was advised how to follow through with charges if she wishes to do so.

 

 

First Aid- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad responded to a victim who was feeling dizzy and weak. Police and EMS arrived and began to assess the patient at the scene. The subject was transported to Community Medical Center for further treatment
