Suspicious Person- Police were dispatched to the area of Porter and Central Avenue for a person who was knocking on the door of a residence and the caller stated they did not know that person and wanted them off their property. Police arrived and located a male sitting on the caller’s stairs. After speaking with the male, it was observed that he was intoxicated and disoriented. The subject was issued a summons for public nuisance, and he was picked up and given a safe ride home.

 

Verbal Dispute- Police were dispatched to the aera of N St. and the bay for a verbal argument between former household members. Officers arrived and the parties were already separated. The subjects were advised to not return to this residence without permission from the owner. Police mediated the situation and advised all individuals involved how to proceed with charges if they wished to do so.

Community Policing- Police were dispatched to the area of O St. and Ocean Ave. to assist a resident who was not at home and requested a check of their home. Officers arrived and checked the residence and made sure everything was secure and that no unauthorized individuals were there. The caller was notified of our findings.

Suspicious Vehicle- Police were dispatched to the area of K St. and K Ct. for a report of a suspicious vehicle that was parked idling for an extended period of time. Officers arrived and located the vehicle described by the caller and spoke to the operator of the vehicle. The driver was parked legally and was there to visit a resident. No further police action required.

 

 

 

Alarm- Police were dispatched to the area of D St. and Ocean for a burglar alarm activation. Officers arrived and checked the perimeter of the residence and did not observe any signs of forced entry. All doors and windows were found to be secure, and it was determined that the alarm was set off in error.

 

 

Utility Problem- Police and the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company were dispatched to the area of 3rd and Central Avenue for a report of arcing wires on the power pole. Officers arrived and checked the area and located the problem. There was no active fire or danger at this time. The fire department arrived to ensure there was issue. JCP&L was notified and came out to assess the problem.

First Aid- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad responded to check on a patient who was having difficulty breathing. Police and EMS assessed the patient at the scene, and they declined any further medical care.

Well Being Check- Police were dispatched to the area of L St. and Boulevard to conduct a well being check for a caller who stated they have not heard from their family member for an extended period of time and were concerned for their well being. Officers arrived at the residence and were able to make contact with the subject and advised them of the situation and made sure they were ok. The subject was fine, and the caller was advised of our findings.
