Landlord Tenant Dispute- Police responded to the area of O St. and Ocean Avenue to speak to a subject regarding a landlord tenant dispute. Officers arrived and spoke to the parties involved regarding their status as a resident. Officers advised the subject about the landlord tenant eviction process and mediated the current situation. No further police action required.

Borough Ordinance Violation- While on patrol in the area of H St. and Ocean Avenue Officers observed a motor vehicle with two subjects loitering for an extended period of time. Police made contact with the subjects and observed a male and female engaged in consensual sexual relations in the vehicle. The subjects were advised to get dressed and were advised of the infraction. Both subjects were issued a borough summons for the violation.

Suspicious Person- Police responded to the area of Lafayette and Ocean for a report of a male subject in all black allegedly attempting to get into residences. Police responded to the area and after further investigation it was determined that there was no issue and the subject was merely going door to door dropping off advertisements. No further police action required.

Alarm- Police were dispatched to the area of G St. and Central for a report of a burglar alarm activation. Officers arrived and checked the perimeter of the residence and did not observe any signs of forced entry. All doors and windows were found to be secure. It was determined that the alarm was set off in error.

 

2/15

First Aid- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad were dispatched to help a fall victim that suffered a possible broken ankle. Police and EMS arrived and began to assess the victim at the scene. EMS stabilized the injury and transported the patient to Community Medical Center for further treatment.

 

Arrest- Police responded to the area of M St. and Central Ave. for a report of a disturbance at a residence. Officers arrived and located a male and female that had been arguing. Police separated both parties and began to investigate the situation. After speaking with the parties involved about what had occurred it was determined that an assault had taken place. The female was placed under arrest for assault. She was transported to police headquarters where she was processed and then lodged in the Ocean County Jail.

 

 

Community Policing- Police were dispatched to a call in the area of L St. and Ocean for a subject that had locked their keys in the vehicle with the engine running. Officers were able to gain entry to the vehicle and assist the locked-out motorist.

Gas Leak- Police and the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company were dispatched to the area of 5th and Bayview for the odor of natural gas. Police and the fire company arrived and secured the scene to make sure there was no danger. The fire department utilized their equipment and located the source of the gas leak. New Jersey Natural gas responded to fix the problem.
