Utility Problem- Police responded to the area of K St. and Ocean Avenue for a report of the odor of natural gas. Officers responded and a natural gas leak was located. Police stood by and notified the gas company of the issue. The area was secured until the gas company arrived to fix the issue.

 

 

Alarm- Police were dispatched to the area of H St. and Ocean Ave. to a burglar alarm activation. Officers arrived and checked the residence and did not observe any signs of forced entry. The house was found to be secure, and it was determined that the alarm was set off in error.

Well Being Check- Police were dispatched to the aera of 6th and Ocean to conduct a well being check to locate a subject that the caller could not get in contact with for an extended period of time and were concerned for their relatives well being. Officers arrived at the scene and began to investigate the situation. After some checking they were able to locate the subject who was fine, and they were advised to contact their family. Police advised the caller of their findings.

 

 

Criminal Mischief- Police were dispatched to the area of 6th and Central to investigate a call for property damage to Christmas lights. The caller stated their decorations had been cut. Police responded and took the information needed to generate a report.

Neighbor Dispute- Police responded to the area of Porter and Central Avenue for a neighbor dispute. Officers arrived and spoke to the caller who alleged the upstairs neighbor was causing damage to the lower unit by flooding it and wanted to make a report. Police spoke to all parties involved in the matter and gathered all the information needed to generate a report. All parties were advised how to sign complaints if they wished to do so.

 

 

First Aid- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad responded to help a victim experiencing general weakness. Officers and EMS arrived and assessed the patient at the scene. They were later transported to Community Medical Center by Tri-Boro.

Suspicious Person- Police responded to the area of Lafayette and Ocean Ave. for a report of suspicious activity. The caller noticed on their camera system earlier in the evening that a male wearing a hooded sweatshirt appeared to stow a bicycle under the caller’s front steps. Police responded and located the bicycle left there. As per the caller no one should have been on the property. The bicycle was secured by police and the property was checked. No further police action required.

Verbal Dispute- Police were dispatched to the area of 7th and Central Avenue for verbal dispute between a male and female. Officers responded and located the subjects actively engaged in a verbal dispute. Police spoke to both parties and investigated the situation. It was determined that it was only a verbal altercation, and no crime was committed. Both parties were separated for the rest of the night.
