Motor Vehicle Violation- While on patrol Officers observed a pickup truck travelling north on Central Avenue with a passenger riding in the bed of the truck. A motor vehicle stop was conducted, and the driver was advised they cannot have passenger riding back there for obvious safety reasons. The driver was issued a summons for the violation and the passenger got into the cabin of the vehicle where safety belts were available for use.
First Aid- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad responded to a call for a patient who was experiencing respiratory distress. Officers and EMS arrived and began to assess the patient and administered oxygen. The patient was transported to Community Medical Center for further treatment.

Theft- Police responded to the area of O St. and Ocean Avenue for a report of a theft. Officers arrived and spoke to the caller. The caller stated that a neighbor had taken money as well as some prescription medication from their residence. Police took the information needed to generate a report and spoke to all parties involved. Both individuals were advised on how to sign complaints if they wished to do so. This matter is still under investigation.
Odor Investigation- Police and the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company responded to a residence in the area of 10th Ave and Ocean for the odor of natural gas coming from a residence. Officers, and the fire company checked the residence as well as New Jersey Natural Gas and it was determined that there was no natural gas leak, but the origin of the scent was located, and the homeowner was advised of the findings and the property was deemed safe.

Disturbance- Police were dispatched to the area of Porter and the Boulevard for a report of two females in an active verbal argument. Officers arrived and located the individuals involved. Police separated both parties and investigated the situation. Officers were able to mediate the situation and help diffuse the argument.
Open Door- Police responded to a call for an open door in the area of 3rd and Central Avenue. Officers arrived and checked the perimeter of the property and did not locate any signs of forced entry. The open door was investigated, and no unauthorized people were located on the property. The door was locked and shut and appeared to have been left open in error.

Disturbance- Police were dispatched to the area of Porter and Central Avenue for a report of two male household members in a verbal argument causing a disturbance. Officers arrived and located the disturbance and separated the parties involved. Police were able to mediate the situation and resolve the conflict.

Arrest- Police were dealing with a male subject in while handling a found property case in the area of Lafayette and Ocean. While investigating the situation it was determined that the male the Officers were speaking with had an active arrest warrant out of another jurisdiction. The male was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released.
