Borough Ordinance Violation- While on patrol in the area of Farragut and Ocean Avenue Officers observed a male urinating in public. Police made contact with the subject and advised him of the violation. The male was issued a borough summons for the infraction.

 

 

Community Policing- While on patrol in the area of O St. and the Boardwalk Officers observed a male sleeping on one of the benches. Police made contact with the subject to make sure he was ok. The male stated he was fine but was stranded here without a ride. Police were able to give the male a safe ride to where he was going.

 

 

Community Policing- Police were dispatched to the area of Brighton Ave. Beach for a male and female who had walked away from their family and were lost and unsure of how to get back to where they belonged. Officers arrived and spoke to the people to gather information and landmarks from where they walked from. Police drove the couple around and located where they started from approximately 20 blocks north and reunited them with their family.

Arrest- While on patrol Officers stopped a vehicle for traffic violations in the area of O St. and Ocean Avenue. After further investigation it was learned that the driver had an active arrest warrant out of a neighboring jurisdiction. The subject was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing. He was issued summonses for his violations and released with a new court date by the originating agency.

 

 

 

Community Policing- Police were dispatched to help a couple who misplaced their vehicle. Officers spoke to the caller and gathered the vehicle information and what they remembered about where they parked. Patrols searched the area and were able to locate their vehicle a few blocks away. Police gave the couple an escort to their vehicle.

 

 

First Aid- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad responded to a report of a fall victim. Police and EMS arrived and assessed the victim at the scene. They were transported to Community Medical Center for further treatment.

Well Being Check- While on patrol in the area of the ocean block of 4th Avenue Officers observed a male lying in the middle of the road. Officers made contact with the subject who was intoxicated. It was determined the male was fine and refused any medical attention. Police located his residence which was nearby and turned him over to a family member.

Alarm- Police were dispatched to the area of K St. and K Ct. for a burglar alarm activation. Officers arrived and checked the exterior of the residence. All doors and windows were found to be secure and no signs of forced entry were observed. It was determined the alarm was set off in error.

 

 

Arrest- Police were dispatched to the area of Stockton and Ocean Avenue for a report of a disturbance. Officers arrived and located the male involved. The male subject was very intoxicated and had gotten into an argument with a family member who called police. The family member stated that the defendant had been drinking all day and became aggressive and argumentative. The male subject would not calm down or comply with Officers requests. The male was causing a public nuisance and was placed under arrest. The male also resisted arrest and made terroristic threats towards Officers. The subject was transported to police headquarters where he was charged and transported to Ocean County Jail.
