Disturbance- Police were dispatched to the area of Lafayette and Ocean for a report of a drunk person causing a scene and possibly getting behind the wheel of their vehicle. Officers arrived and were able to locate the subjects in question. The verbal disturbance was over upon arrival, but Officers spoke to those involved and there was an intoxicated individual, but they were not driving. Officers spoke to the designated driver and made sure the intoxicated person did not need any medical attention. The left the area safely, no further police action required.
Community Policing- Officers were dispatched to the area of C St. for a caller that stated their dogs were locked in their running car with the air conditioning on but needed assistance gaining entry to the vehicle. Officers arrived and spoke to the caller to assess the situation. Officers were able to gain entry into the vehicle for the caller.
Suspicious Package- Police responded to the area of 5th and Central for a report of an unattended backpack that the caller stated had been left there for a period of time. Officers arrived and located the backpack and began to investigate the situation. After inspecting it there was nothing suspicious or dangerous it was just property that was left there. After checking the area police were able to locate the owner and returned the bag to them.

First Aid- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad responded to assist a patient experiencing chest pain and shortness of breath. Officers and EMS arrived and began to assess the patient at the scene. They were transported to Community Medical Center for further treatment.

Well Being Check- Police responded to the area of L St. and Central to conduct a well being check. The caller stated they had not spoken to their family member for an extended period of time and it was unlike them to not get back to them. Officers arrived at the residence and were able to make contact with the subject. Everything was fine they were just having an issue with their telephone. The caller was advised of our findings.

Landlord Tenant- Police responded to a landlord tenant dispute in the area of 5th and Central Avenue. Officers arrived and spoke to the individuals involved. Police at the scene were able to mediate the situation amicably and resolve the issue they were having with one another. No further police action required. Both parties advised on complaint procedures.
Alarm- Police were dispatched to a burglar alarm activation in the area of 12th and Central. Officers arrived and checked the perimeter of the residence and did not observe any signs of forced entry. After further investigation it was determined that the alarm was set off in error and the house was found to be secure.
Fire Alarm- Police and the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company responded to the aera of K St. and Ocean for a fire alarm activation. Police arrived and began to check the residence and did observe audible alarms sounding but no visible smoke or fire. The fire company arrived and checked the residence with their heat sensing equipment and found the residence to be safe. It was determined that the alarm was set off by a faulty detector.

Borough Ordinance Violation- While on patrol in the area of Porter and Barnegat Avenue Officers observed a vehicle with the occupant sleeping inside. Police made contact with the subject and advised him of the ordinance. The subject was issued a borough summons for the violation.
Criminal Mischief- Police responded to the area of 5th and Central for a report of damage to the caller’s garage door. Police arrived and spoke to the caller who showed Officers the broken lock and hinges that were pried off. Nothing was reported missing. Information was gathered to generate a report. This matter is under investigation.
