Disabled Vehicle- Police and the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company responded to the area of 8th and Barnegat Avenue for a report of a disabled sedan in the flood waters with two occupants inside. The fire company responded with their boat to get the occupants to safety due to the high flood water and no regular vehicle could get to them. After they were brought to dry ground Police escorted them to headquarters to make arrangements for a ride.

 

 

Fire- Police and the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company responded to the area of J St. and Central Ave. for a report of an outdoor electrical outlet that had been submerged due to the flooding and had begun to smoke. The power was cut to the electrical outlet and was deemed to be safe by fire and the power company who responded as well.

Alarm- Police were dispatched to a burglar alarm activation in the area of 2nd and Central Avenue. Officers arrived and checked the exterior of the business and did not observe and signs of forced entry. After further investigation it was determined that the alarm was set off in error. And all doors and windows were found to be secure.

Arrest- Police were dispatched to the area of O St. and Ocean for a report of a disturbance at a residence. Police responded and spoke to the male and female household members that were involved. After further investigation it was determined that the female had struck the male in the face, and she was subsequently arrested for simple assault. She was transported to police headquarters where she was processed and released.

Verbal Dispute- Police responded to the area of O St. and Ocean Avenue for a report of a verbal dispute between a male and female. Officers arrived and spoke to the parties involved. Police were able to mediate the situation and advised both individuals to remain separated. No further police action required.

 

 

Fire Alarm- Police and the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Company were dispatched to the area of Stockton and Ocean Avenue for a fire alarm activation. Police arrived and did not locate and smoke or active fire. The fire department arrived and utilized their heat sensing equipment to ensure the structure was safe.

 

 

First Aid- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad responded to the area of O St. and Ocean Avenue for a victim who reported some pain while breathing. Officers and EMS arrived and assessed the patient at the scene. They were later transported to Community Medical Center by Tri-Boro for further medical treatment.

Arrest- Police were dispatched to the area of Porter and Central for a male who was outside causing a disturbance only wearing underwear and acting in a disorderly manner. Officers arrived and located the subject in the street who appeared to be under the influence of narcotics. First Aid was called as police began to investigate the situation. After further investigation into the matter the subject was placed under arrest for possession of cocaine as well as other controlled dangerous substances. He was arrested and transported to police headquarters where he was evaluated by first aid. He was processed, charged, and later transported to Ocean County Jail where he was lodged.
