Fist Aid- Police and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad responded to Central and Brighton Ave. for a male subject who had fallen of their bicycle and was unconscious. Police and EMS arrived and began to assess the victim who had regained consciousness but was disoriented. The victim was transported to Community Medical Center for further treatment.

 

 

Theft- Police were dispatched to the area of K St. and Central Avenue for a report of a package theft from the caller’s porch. Officers arrived and spoke to the caller and gathered the information needed to generate a report. The caller stated they had ordered an electric scooter and they were notified that it was delivered. After checking their porch when they returned home the package was not there. Police checked the area for any cameras that may have captured the event. This matter is still under investigation.

Borough Ordinance Violation- While on patrol in the area of North and Bayview Avenue Officers observed an occupied vehicle with a male and female engaged in consensual sexual relations. Police made contact with the subjects advising them to get dressed and advised them of the violation. Both subjects were issued a borough summons for the infraction.

 

 

 

Disturbance- Police were dispatched to the area of the 11th Avenue beach for a disturbance between beach goers. Officers arrived and spoke to the individuals involved who were arguing over sitting too close to the other group. Police arrived and mediated the situation and separated the individuals and advised all parties how to sign complaints if they wished to do so.

Motor Vehicle Accident- Police responded to a single car motor vehicle crash in the area of 1st Avenue and Central Avenue. Officers arrived and located a single car motor vehicle crash where the driver had crashed into a home causing significant damage. No one inside the home was injured and the driver only sustained minor injuries. The initial investigation of this crash was deemed to be accidental. The driver allegedly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake pedal resulting in the crash.

Suspicious Person- Police were dispatched to the area of 8th and Ocean for a report of a male who seemed disoriented who was knocking on doors. Police arrived on scene and located a male wearing a hospital gown and had a clear plastic bag. The male was walking around knocking on doors stating he was looking for a friend but could not find her. After speaking with the subject, he stated he wanted to go to the hospital to speak to someone. He was later transported to Community Medical Center by Tri-Boro First Aid Squad.

Alarm- Police responded to the aera of G St. and Central Avenue for a burglar alarm activation. Officers arrived and checked the exterior of the residence and did not observe any signs of forced entry. All exterior doors and windows were found to be secure, and it was determined that the alarm was set off in error.

Erratic Driver- Police received a call for an erratic driver in the area of Barnegat and 10th Avenue. The caller stated the subject’s vehicle was driving erratically and stopped to yell at the caller and was throwing items at the caller’s vehicle. Officers responded and were able to locate the erratic driver and initiated a motor vehicle stop. The suspect vehicle had multiple motor vehicle violations and was issued summonses for some of the violations Officers observed. The caller was advised how to sign complaints if they wished to move forward charges.

 

 

Missing Person- Police were dispatched to the area of N St. and Ocean Avenue to help look for a missing female. Officers checked the area and were able to locate the female safely who had been reported missing and unreachable by a family member. The caller was notified of our findings that their daughter was ok and would be contacting them. No further police action required.
